The Metropolitan is home to fine real ales, good wines and excellent food. A huge, domineering building from the outside, once inside it's a delightfully airy space, split into different rooms, all of which are full of antique tables and chairs and a young, friendly and affluent crowd.
A new early evening set menu arrives on Tuesday 27th May 2008 . It is available Monday to Friday 5-7pm, subject to availability. The set menu features a select number of dishes from our lunch & a la carte menus and is only £12.95 for two courses and £15.95 for three. The platters will be up and running at the beginning of June, on Thursday through to Saturday evenings. You will be able to order at the bar and have your platter at your table outside or in the bar area - perfect for a summer's evening! ur new menu has now arrived and after feedback from our customers we have introduced separate lunch & evening menus. Plenty of salads & sandwiches available at lunch and some lovely a la carte dishes available in the evening - we have kept the much loved fish pie sharer and also included a chicken, leek & gammon pie for two!
Our new dessert menu will be available at the beginning of June.
