Our philosophy is simple “something should taste of what it is”. We have the best products from the most fastidious suppliers, simply but carefully executed, and there are always blackboard specials. Authentic Cuisine maybe Regional, but our Terroir is the whole of France.Forburys Restaurant is a new French restaurant situated in the central square of a modern development opposite Forbury Garden in the centre of Reading. The restaurant has been designed by Xavier Le-Bellego whose name has become associated with fine food and dining. Xavier has worked with the internationally famous Raymond Blanc, John Burton Race and Albert Roux before managing The Red House near Newbury where he received the coveted “Gastro Pub of the Year” title for two consecutive years.
Forbury's offers European cuisine with a french twist and follows Xavier's passionate belief that “good fresh food does not have to be expensive”. The modern and stylish restaurant is fully air conditioned and in addition to the main dining area offers a Private Dining Room which can seat up to sixteen and a seating area on the terrace outside where diners on fine days can enjoy the pleasant outlook over Forbury Garden. The restaurant will be open from 9.30 each day from Monday to Saturday.
In addition to the regularly changing a la carte menu there will be a weekly market menu available at lunch and early evenings. Samples of these menus may be viewed on the menu pages. For parties of ten or more there is a party menu available based on £28.50 per head. The Private Dining Room is also available for hire on a daily or part daily basis if required. When lunch or dinner is not being served we will offer a range of teas and coffees which can be accompanied by a selection of our home made patisseries.
At Forbury's Restaurant & Wine Bar, we are serving a range of menus from our market menu or A La Carte, Or for larger group we have also party menus. Please contact us to make your reservation today.
