Sysonby Knoll Hotel (Hotel)

Melton Mowbray, leicestershire is halfway between Leicester and Nottingham, readily accessible from the motorway network. Sysonby Knoll is the longest established family owned and run hotel in Melton Mowbray, and has the highest AA rating in the town. It has been owned by the same family since 1965, when it was purchased as a 6 bedroom house. Over the intervening years, it has grown into a 30 bedroom luxury hotel offering a superb standard of accommodation and service, resulting in a number of awards over the past few years.
The original house now forms a small part of a square courtyard, with the bar, restaurant and conservatory overlooking the gardens and fields beyond. Most of the hotel accommodation faces into the central courtyard, whilst our two four poster bedrooms are in the old house facing the gardens. This aerial shot shows the main courtyard building and also our annexe which houses 6 luxury executive rooms to the top left. The hotel is situated on the edge of Melton Mowbray, with open fields in one direction and the facilities of the town close by in the other.
We have 30 bedrooms in total, of which 9 are single and the rest are either twin or double bedded rooms. There are 2 four poster rooms ideal for a honeymoon or special nights away. All of our bedrooms have en-suite facilities, satellite/digital TV, telephone with voicemail & direct dial number, and all the other comforts you would expect. Sysonby Knoll is unusual in that all of our beds have high quality pocketed spring mattresses.
Because the hotel has expanded over a long period, our bedrooms vary greatly in size and shape. Some of our rooms are on the ground floor, and some are suitable for extra beds or other particular requirements. It is therefore important to give us as much information as possible when enquiring about a room so that we can make your stay as comfortable as possible.
