The Grosvenor Hotel is in the centre of the attractive historic village of Stockbridge, on the banks of the World famous Test River, in the heart of Hampshire in the South of England and is situated between historic Cathedral Cities of Winchester and Salisbury.
The hotel has retained its classic Georgian features and traditional friendliness, whilst offering you the very best of food, wines and present day comfort. Whether you are staying for business or pleasure, we will give you a really warm welcome and will do our very best to help you enjoy your stay.
The Tom Cannon Restaurant is proud to present local ingredients from within a 30 mile radius of the Hotel. Local quality beef, lamb, pork and seasonal game, and of course not forgetting the World famous Test trout. We also cater fully for vegetarians and specialise in seasonal fresh fish.
The Bankside Bar has been the centre of village life for over a century, and serves a range of meals, snacks and a large selection of ales and wines. Our new beautiful wood panelled restaurant offers a full a la carte menu, with game and fish when in season.
The River Room Restaurant as it's now known was once the dinning hall of the private home of Tom Cannon, the famous jockey and trainer of the mid nineteenth century.
If you look around the walls you will see the many fine horses he rode and or trained. These were etched directly on to the panels over one hundred years ago using a red hot iron straight from the fire. The Cannon family are still frequent visitors to their old ancestral home.
There are 26 attractively furnished en-suite bedrooms, with full facilities.

Three nights Christmas Breaks

Christmas Eve
Arrive any time after 2pm for a very warm welcome, and settle into your comfortable en-suite bedroom. Unpack, relax and take a leisurely walk if the weather allows – or have a drive around
the immediate area.
A candlelit two-course dinner will be served in the restaurant between 6pm and 9pm.
Midnight Mass – local details are available at reception for guests wishing to attend.
Christmas Day
Start the day with our delicious home-cooked breakfast: fresh fruit, cereals, croissants or Danish pastries, followed by a full traditional English breakfast.
During the morning there will be plenty of time to relax and unwrap your presents before we serve your Christmas lunch from 12 noon!
In the evening our Chef will prepare a tempting buffet, served in the restaurant between 6pm and 9pm.
Boxing Day
A hearty breakfast will be served to prepare you for your journey home. Why not extend your stay with us and enjoy a delicious Boxing Day lunch before you go – or even join us for an extra night?
Our three-night packages include all of the above, plus lunch, dinner and overnight accommodation on Boxing Day with a full English breakfast on 27th December.
