One of England’s oldest and loveliest inns, with Norman cellars dating from 1156, the Mermaid, rebuilt in 1420, offers tradition and charm in abundance.
A jewel in the crown of Rye, the inn has a wide range of accommodation including rooms with four-poster beds and fascinating secret passages. The lounge bar boasts of one of the largest open log fireplaces in the country. The AA Rosette restaurant offers fine British and French cuisine and the head chef is proud to use only the freshest of local ingredients.
We are pleased to offer a three night break, which commences on Christmas Eve with a four-course dinner in our famous Panelled Restaurant. After a full English breakfast on Christmas Day guests are invited to either attend some of the local festive Church Services, follow our quiz which takes you around all the historic areas of the town or simply relax and let us look after you.
Canapes and champagne are served prior to your five course Christmas Day luncheon
and is followed in the evening by a succulent Buffet of local foods with music to dance to throughout.
All meals are included during your stay with departure prior to 12 noon on 27th December 2008.
