Barnstaple is the ancient capital of North Devon, with a heritage centre housed in a 14th century chapel. Further afield is the spectacular North Devon coast and Exmoor National Park-creating an abundance of attractions to see and do during your visit.
The accommodation is in the form of 34 self-contained lodge style en-suite bedrooms, located just a stone’s throw from the main hotel building. There is a feature room located in the main hotel building.
Whether your visit is for a breakfast meeting, brunch lunch, afternoon tea or a three-course dinner, at the Cedars Hotel we have everything you need. We offer a seasonal menu with a wide selection of modern, traditional and international dishes, complemented with a selection of real ales, fine wines and specialty coffees. Our licensed bar and Conservatory Restaurant have a relaxing atmosphere.
The Cedars hotel has excellent function facilities enabling us to cater for all occasions from business meetings, conferences, and with a Wedding licence, we pride ourselves on being a premier wedding venue in North Devon.

We offer a range of double, twin, family rooms and have a feature bedroom for those special occasions, located in our main hotel building. Ground floor rooms and wheelchair access are available. Travel cots and Z-beds are also available on request. Corporate rates, account facilities, and Group/Party rates available on request.
The Cedars Hotel has ample on-site car-parking facilities, and designated disabled car parking spaces.

Three nights Christmas Breaks

Christmas Eve
Arrive any time after 2pm for a very warm welcome, and settle into your comfortable en-suite bedroom. Unpack, relax and take a leisurely walk if the weather allows – or have a drive around
the immediate area.
A candlelit two-course dinner will be served in the restaurant between 6pm and 9pm.
Midnight Mass – local details are available at reception for guests wishing to attend.
Christmas Day
Start the day with our delicious home-cooked breakfast: fresh fruit, cereals, croissants or Danish pastries, followed by a full traditional English breakfast.
During the morning there will be plenty of time to relax and unwrap your presents before we serve your Christmas lunch from 12 noon!
In the evening our Chef will prepare a tempting buffet, served in the restaurant between 6pm and 9pm.
Boxing Day
A hearty breakfast will be served to prepare you for your journey home. Why not extend your stay with us and enjoy a delicious Boxing Day lunch before you go – or even join us for
an extra night?
Our three-night packages include all of the above, plus lunch, dinner and overnight accommodation on Boxing Day with a full English breakfast on 27th December.
