If you enjoy a traditional Christmas in 2012, then where better to experience it than in a 17th century coaching inn, full of original features and just minutes from a famous historical landmark?
Whately Hall Hotel has hidden staircases, original wooden beams, and open stone fireplaces that all help to create the atmosphere of a truly Dickensian Christmas. There are two restaurants, one with oak paneling and the Hornton Bar, with its open fireplace and a rustic feel, making it the perfect place to relax. And after the sumptuous festival feasting you can expect here, relax is what you may need to do. You may prefer of course, a stroll down the road to the famous Banbury Cross.
A unique atmosphere, exceptional food, and excellent service; We do hope you will join us to enjoy all this and more, this Christmas.
Warm up on Christmas Eve in front of our crackling log fires with a delicious afternoon tea. Later enjoy carols from local singers as you sip champagne with fellow guests before dinner. After midnight services, savour a glass of mulled wine and a warm mince pie to send you off to bed. After opening your gifts and enjoying a hearty breakfast on Christmas Day, why not take a stroll around town? Christmas lunch with all the trimmings follows and looks out for Santa who will be sure to pop in at sometime during the day. A light finger buffet will be available in the evening, when the Whately Hall's Quiz will test your wits; prizes to be won! Celebrations continue on Boxing Day with a traditional English breakfast.
Then you could spend the morning exploring (search out our secret Priest Hole). Our four courses Gala Dinner and evening entertainment mark the end of the celebrations, before we say our fond farewells over a full English breakfast the next morning.
