The Antelope Hotel is a famous old coaching house in the High Street of Poole and has been a popular meeting place through the centuries. It still retains part of its original 15th century building. Situated so conveniently to Poole Quay, the hotel was used by the horse coaches as a stop off for Lymington, Southampton, Bath, Bristol, Weymouth and London.
Step off the high street into the traditional and cosy bar of Poole’s oldest hostelry and then walk through to discover the hidden treasure of Smuggler’s restaurant. Smugglers is adorned with all kinds of ancient nautical and fishing paraphernalia, very much in keeping with the maritime feel of this old building. Flagstone floors, raised decking areas, wood panelling, brick arches and wooden banisters all combine to create cosy dining areas and of the feeling of a bygone age.
Whether your visit is for a breakfast meeting, brunch lunch, afternoon tea or a three-course dinner, at the Antelope we have everything you need. We offer a seasonal menu with a wide selection of modern, traditional and international dishes, complemented with a selection of real ales, fine wines and speciality coffees. All our dishes are freshly prepared by our experienced kitchen team combining to ensure you have a great dining experience here at the Antelope.
